Lakehold is the northern duchy of Erstes Imperium, and is formed around Bright Lake. The land is extremely fertile grassland, which allows for the development of a relatively large populace. Apparent village wealth appears to increase as one approaches the lake.
The duchy acts as the shield of the south against northern aggression. The looming threat from the north has left the people of there area hard and suspicious of outsiders. The land is marked by fortified towns and villages. From the great stone castle at Lakehold, the Emperor rules his duchy and the Imperium.
