A noble of Arrakesh, once a Tyrant, whose realm was reduced below the minimum requirements for retaining that title. They are no longer permitted to remain within the Arrakeshi mainland, but remain members of the realm.
Tasked with contemplating the Mysteries of the Immortal and Eternal Godhead in the Left-Handed Path of its Arrakeshi Incarnation, this noble is also the head of the Ministry of Blood and tasked with managing the tasks and exploits of its clerics.
The Tyrant appoints one among their Knights to the task of delving into the dark and dangerous places of the world, in the hopes of uncovering some ancient knowledge or precious artifact. These Abyssal Scholars are expected to work cooperatively even during time when their various Tyrants are opposed politically or martially.

Any landholder in Arrakesh may request the position of Supplicant. The Supplicants become Tyrants in their own right once the proper conditions are met - this oftentimes requires the death of a previous Tyrant.
Announcing one's supplication to the Table of Tyrants is a double-edged sword. It must be done if one aspires to the position, but also announces unequivocally one's ambitions to the current Tyrants and other rivals.
Nobles both of Arrakesh and abroad take note of the Mark of Blood upon this lord or lady's left shoulder, and may choose to give them a wide berth. The crimson mark labels them as clerics of the Ministry of Blood, warriors and executors of the Tyrants' Death Warrants.
Nobles both of Arrakesh and abroad take note of the Mark of Gold upon this lord or lady's right shoulder. The golden mark labels them as clerics of the Ministry of Gold, diplomats who spearhead the Tyrants' political and trade initiatives.
The ruler of the realm in principle, but much like any other Tyrant due to the realm's decentralized nature. One exception is that he or she possesses the power to appoint the Hierophants of Blood and Gold, and through these positions can command the resources of the realm in times of war or crisis. Use of such powers is usually viewed with extreme suspicion by the other Tyrants, except under circumstances of obvious need.
The Tyrants of Arrakesh are rulers of its various vassal realms. Highly heterogenous and sovereign in many respects, the Tyrants have the power to appoint clerics of the Ministries of Blood or Gold, and command them through the issue of Death Warrants and other directives.
Tyrants are raised to their position from that of Supplicant, once they control either directly or via vassals an area at least 5 estates in size.
