Realm Description

Gallaran is filled with luscious forests on the southwest coastland of Caorran. It was founded by Cailean Cousland after the unification of the Kingdom of Caorran, before he ascended to the Caorrani Throne as King Cailean I, better known as King Cailean the Undying.

Under Cailean's leadership, the Duchy has expanded its territory to the West, annexing the western counties of Tharfairge, and to the North, annexing Suath and The North Reach. They also annexed the insular territories to the South through diplomatic means, gaining new lands with valuable resources. This made Gallaran one of the strongest subrealms of the Kingdom.

The capital, Àirde, is a bustling town with people that come from all places trading in the main square's market.

At the heart of the capital you can easily find the tallest structure within its walls: The Cathedral of the Sun, with towering spires that reach towards the sky, adorned with intricate carvings and gilded in gold. The entrance is flanked by two massive statues of radiant angels, their wings outstretched as if welcoming all who come to worship the The Solisian Church.

The Grand Cathedral of the Eternal Sun is more than just a place of worship; it is a symbol of the faith's devotion to the Eternal God, and a testament to the skill and dedication of the artisans who built it. For those who seek solace, comfort, and inspiration, there is no better place to find it than within the hallowed halls of this grand cathedral. It is worth noting that this cathedral is also the primary religious temple of the Kingdom of Caorran, and the place where the esteemed Cardinal of Caorran resides while fulfilling his sacred duties.

And from a distance, you can see it: Castle Cousland. It rests on top of the motte that comes into view, rising above the surrounding landscape like a behemoth. The first thing you notice is the motte itself, a large, steep-sided mound of earth that dominates the scene. It is surrounded by a wide water-filled ditch, which serves as an additional obstacle for any would-be attackers.

As your eyes travel upward, you see the castle proper, a series of walls, towers, and other defensive structures that seem to grow out of the top of the motte. Made of sturdy stone and hardwood, the castle's walls are high and imposing, their formidable bulk creating an aura of strength and power.

The entrance to the castle is a massive stone archway, framed by intricately carved columns and topped with the House Cousland coat of arms.

At the center of the castle, you see a keep rising high above the rest of the structure. This towering edifice provides a clear landmark visible from a distance, a symbol of the Lord's power and authority over the surrounding lands.

Castle Cousland is an awe-inspiring sight, its towering height and impressive defensive features creating a palpable sense of strength and security. It is a testament to the ingenuity and engineering prowess of the Caorrani builders who constructed it, and a reminder of the power and prestige of its owners.
