Realm Description

The people of Thrace are fiercely independent and a proud of their land. Since the times when the land was known as Thannath they have felt neglected by their overlords and oppressed by foreign lieges.

Thrace has an ongoing feud with the Vedahorn Vale whose nobles have historically disdained and looked down on Thrace. How the feud started we no longer know or care, but the hatred is maintained vehemently. Cross the border there are constant skirmishes and raids, nevertheless, the two realms are united in their loyalty to Vesperia as a whole.

The realm is ruled by two Dukes, individually they have particular responsibilities but have full power to veto each other. The Dukes nominate (but cannot revoke) members to a legislative assembly (the Curia) composed of the Governors and Centurions. Every half year (1.5 rl months) the Curia choose which two of their number shall serve as Dukes for the next term (a serving Duke may be reinstated or replaced here).
