Envoy

Envoys are, quite simply, diplomats. The only difference between Envoys and most diplomats though, is that Envoys tend to remain in one place longer, fulfilling the roles of both diplomat and liaison between Iungard and a distant realm. Depending on how the distant realm wishes to integrate them, it is within the Emissary's scope to take on oaths, lordships, or even sub-realm rulerships in distant realms, so long as they do not contradict the will of the Lord Sovereign of Iungard. Typically, they are also inherited positions, meaning that over time the position becomes one less held by an Iunan and more one held by a descendant of Iuna and the local population.

The Lord Sovereign of Iungard is both a title for both the Ruler of the Principality of Iungard (realm) and also for the Lord of Iungard (city).

High Constable

Appointed by the Lord Sovereign of Iungard, the High Constable is in charge of the combined military forces of Iungard, Whitburg, Nejeston, and all their vassals and subject realms.

Sworn to Iungard

There are many oaths and swearing ceremonies in this world, and many can even claim to be sword to the lord of Iungard, but very few can claim they are Sworn to Iungard itself.

Unlike traditional oaths that are considered moot when the Lord passes, this oath is to the "Lord Sovereign of Iungard", in title not name. As such, it is considered a true commitment to take on such an oath.

In return for their service to Iungard, the Lord Sovereign recognizes the nobility of the individual, and binds to them a Sword of Iungard. This broadsword is rumored by many to be enchanted with the magics of the Isles, but even if not the intricacies of the etched blade make it beautiful without compromising the pre-Cataclysm craftsmanship of the sword overall.

Realm Description

Formally created as the "Archduchy of the Northern Seas" by Andrew Calinus, it was rechristened as the "Sovereign Principality of Iungard and the Duchies of the Northern Isles" when his daughter Vanessa assumed rulership.
