The Tribune is elected on behalf of the mortals of Caladia. They represent the mortals and may veto legislation which would harm them.

Realm Description
Caladia is an island republic.
All nobles of the realm are appointed to be Senators and the full Senate is responsible for the management of the realm and the appointment of its officials.
Landholders must contribute soldiers and taxes to the Republic.
Any estates outside of the island itself are administered by the Senate.
Officials (elected yearly):
Consul (2 positions): the leaders of the realm in military, executive and judicial matters. Must have previously served as Praetor
Praetor (2 positions): administrators of the realm and its military. A stepping stone position to Consulship
Tribune (1 position: the representative of the mortals in the senate. They may veto laws which would unfairly harm the people.
Proconsuls (1 for each province): govern any provinces which the republic holds outside of the island itself.
Other Positions:
Duke: otherwise known as the Augur, is the religious head of the republic, administers Nejestium itself and is forbidden from leaving the island.
Dignitas: an unofficial title that all previous consuls hold, marking them out as authoritative leaders of the realm.
Imperator: an unofficial title granted to leaders who have made great military conquests or heroically lead a defence of Republic.
Dictator: a position appointed by the two Consuls which temporarily passes all authority and powers to the chosen senator in a time when the Republic is under dire threat.
