Ritter von Grauesland is a part of Magvel.
This is the rulership position for the Order. Even though the Order of the Knights of Greysland is technically a baronial title, the head of the order is commonly addressed as Ritter-Kommandant.
This the actual ruling position of the realm. The ruler should be addressed as Ritter-Kommandant. The title is not passed upon death. Instead, the knights of the order gather to vote on their new commander pending approval from the king.

Initially the knights subservient to the house of Grünewald-Lichtenberg were tasked with securing the safety of the then-Prince Jean-Christophe. As the order grew in numbers so did their responsibility.
Eventually Duke Eckehard of Alteland ruled that the knights should be under a unified commander, tasked with the protection of the newly minted King, Jean-Christophe.
The order's first mission was to protect the King. Their duties and responsibilities were eventually expanded. Soon they saw themselves being known as enforcers of the Kings rule and his law.
Nowadays, the order is tasked with protecting key Magvel locations and ensuring the king's law is enforced across the kingdom.
