Realm Description

Stretching from the eastern marshes of Kainairow all the way to the vast western fields of Laugharne, Calmarnockshire is a March steeped in history of these lands. The natural riches abound here, for the mines, forests and golden fields provide the March with bountiful resources. Lords of Calmarnockshire are known to have raised powerful armies on labors of the second ones, their ranks showing off the lines of stern infantry, seasoned archers and experienced riders.

The realm was for a long time known as Monmouthshire, centered around the fortress of Monmouth that rests on the merciless streams of Panema river. Nowadays, the capital is in Calmarnock, a city around which the March was reformed and named after. The city itself is renowned for being the centre of one of the most infamous rebellions of Eldamar where the Banneth family raised their swords in a bid for the throne. The rebellion was eventually surpressed, and Calmarnock is now run by house Hayard that originally rose from Thornwick.

Three minor realms bow to the March: Baronies of Wintervale and Thornwick, and the County of Stallion's Mark.
