They can be distinguished by that their lack of the typical tabard of the Order, but instead have elaborate silver etchings on their armour.
Founded by Rothrik de Villiers on 12-40-6, the Order of the Silver Stag is a chivalric order with the goal of promoting an Ascalonian view of justice and order.
Dedicated to the Kingdom of Ascalon, the order upholds its values. There is no written code of honor or chivalry, but rather one learned by its members and passed down. They swear loyalty to both the kingdom and the order upon joining.
The joining of the order is not an inherently difficult task. To serve it is to serve the kingdom. Many join and leave without ever becoming full-fledged knights of it. The process of induction is not known to the outside, merely that the inducted knights of the order wear silver-plated spurs.
Only those sworn to Ascalon may join the order, yet they do not need to have hailed from it or originally been apart of it.
