This is the rulership position for the realm.
Rheged was the third cultural division of Elysium, created within the eastern lands of Lucernia when the nobles of that realm feel to slumber. The lands were awarded to Alexander Rolioc who was elevated to be the third King sitting upon Elysiums council. Alexander Rolioc recruited many First Ones from various cavalry centric cultures, fostering the strong cavalry traditions that remain to this day. Were Nril and The Fang had long been renown for fielding large armies of heavy chain clad infantry, Rheged quickly developed their own reputation for fielding substantial forces of chain clad cavalry wielding maces and longbows. While not matching the other two Elysium nations in sheer numbers, the contribution of the highly mobile cavalry force has been significant.
In the year of 5-13-5 amid growing internal concerns about the power represented by the large and united Elysium, the three Kings agreed to dissolve the league and each govern their own lands seperated as direct Protectorates of Hawks.
This state of affairs remained until 8-49-2 when Emperor Taticus Symmachus called for a Trial of Testing upon Kings Fraro Ruhi and Orion Rhu for their actions in starting and persecuting the war against the Archonian Dominate. The task of administering the Trial was granted to Alexander Rolioc who in turn issued a Trial of Possession against the two Kings, to be performed in conjunction with the Trial of Testing. Besting each King in battle he was granted dominion over Nril and The Fang, though he decided to retain no official title over them.
In 12-26-6 he lead an expedition across the Kendale river to claim the lands abandoned by Turindië. As new knights were recruited to govern the land it was discovered that Sarantium Nova had also fallen to a epidemic of slumber blight. Eventually he would reclaim vast amounts of land that would form the independent 'Tel' states of Tel'Ajin, Tel'Bywin, Tel'Bẵs Luth, Tel'Mlindu and Tel'Widkur.
In 13-18-3 the young realm Raijivis Protectorate which was establishing itself in the forest to the north of Rheged swore fealty to Alexander Rolioc. In 14-55-5 Alexander declared his intention to reorganize Nril and The Fang under his banner, but not official action has been taken. At this time he also recognised the barony of Elysium, lands that had been taken to the south of the tradition Elyisum lands but which did owe fealty to Rheged, Nril or The Fang. As a barony these lands became under the direct governance of the Emperor.
In 15-24-6 he sought the creation of Magadha out of the eastern lands that he had Annexed as part of the Archonian Dominate war. As with the Elysium Barony it was recognised as a Barony under the direct control of the Emperor
