The History of Requiem is relatively short, and for now can be divided into three parts:
Foundation and Independence
Founded by Lady Raven Thistleberry with rulership granted to Benedictus Aeternum and Malcolm Stanley, the realm of Requiem was created with the intention of it forming an independent realm restoring the westernmost reaches of forestland to prosperity. Since the fall of Rastoa the lands had gone to waste and were in dire need of new nobles to protect their lands. Requiem expanded quickly.
Union with Quendor and war with Xodor
At an early point in their expansion Requiem met with the nobles of Quendor and came to an agreement with Reza Khan for a union of the two realms. Just as this was being finalised Reza Khan was attacked and killed without warning. Lady Sibi Yrrdóttir of the Western Federation, after killing Reza, seized control of his town Niestettin. There were further attacks then by Lusitania, and raiding parties detected within Requiem. As Malcolm Stanley set out to avenge Reza Khan, war was declared by Xodor, with Xodor absurdly claiming that they were acting in self-defence.
Dissolution and Revival
The lands of Requiem were taken, absorbed, and then later revived by Adal L'Stei. As a result of the elevation of Südostland from a March to a Principality, Requiem was also elevated to a true Margraviate.
