They are the vassals of the Watch Commander and oversee their lands.
The Border Watch of Xeron's Pass protects the settlement of Xeron's Pass and the southern borders from Northern Barbarians and bandits. The Border watch is garrisoned on Daemon's Wall. The Border Watch is ruled by a Commander and acts as the Southern Marcher Lord however without the near full autonomy of one. The Watch could be called in wars and if necessary can be absorbed back into the crown lands.
King Asran wanting to curb Northern Expansion and protect his borders from bandits created the watch and named his son the Commander. As a gift Belavan High Flame gave away Eastern Iflarius to support the Crown prince and his new realm.
