Lying in the misty fields between Slumberstone and the North Marches, you can see the town of Havengate from a mile away through the mist from its myriad of lights. It is a safe haven in the mists for travelers going northward, and the Count keeps vigil on this part of the frontier for invaders.
In the wake of the exile of the noble Flambards, the Halfhavens have taken up the mantle to lead what remains of the Duchy of the Northmen. Customs here are a mix of Rathgar/Lowland and Ascalonian influence. While the Lowlands are typically despised due to the years of almost constant warfare they are more open than usual to interaction. More than once a man (or woman) of the Lowlands has visited and served the Lords of the North of Ascalon.
