Realm Description

Eldoria, officially the Eldorian Royal Duchy (Eldorian: Duché royal d'Eldorien), is a realm located in the Kingdom of Eldamar. Eldoria shares borders with its sister duchies within Eldamar, Insula and Balwynward, with the ocean great serving as its Eastern border making the duchy nearly untouchable.

Government and Politics

Eldoria is an aristocratic oligarchy organized as a unitary, absolute monarchy, created by Arthur Geddy and supported by members of the Noble Council. The Duke serves as both head of state and head of government. His Royal Grace, Duke Arthur Geddy, is the current head of state. He exercises absolute powers and full executive authority under the framework he put in place in the 37th year. The Duke is advised by and presides over two councils, which he appoints. The two councils are the Council of Ministers and the Noble Council. He is also responsible for appointing and removing County Executives of the counties that compose Eldoria, and exercises supreme military command over the realm's military.

The Council of Ministers, chaired by His Royal Grace, the Duke of Eldoria, is the executive apparatus of Eldoria. Composed of the Minister of Internal Affairs, the Minister of Commerce, and the Minister of External Affairs, each appointed by the Duke, the council provides advice to the Duke and participates in managing the affairs of the realm.

The Noble Council, chaired by His Royal Grace, the Duke of Eldoria, is responsible for appointing the heir apparent and the line of succession thereafter.

The Eldorian Armed Forces (Forces armées eldoriennes) are the military forces of Eldoria, under the Order of the Eternal Lief (Ordre du Secours éternel). The Duke serves as it's Supreme-Commander. The Order of the Eternal Lief is the knightly order governing Eldoria's military, combining elements of military leadership and unified command with chivalrous ideas and traditions of knighthood. The order plays a pivotal role in safeguarding the realm, fostering cooperation, and upholding the highest standards of valor and honor.
