Located just west of the Imperial capital of Lakehold, Gahlen March plays an important role in it's defence. Where it's people were once an optimistic and bright people expanding into the unknown lands to the west, now it's people are hard, suspicious of outsiders and quick to reach for the closest weapon. The paving stones from the streets of it's settlements have been scavenged to bolster their fortifications. Peasants can be seen hard at work on construction of watchtowers to spot threats and roads to quickly carry news of such. Culture in the March of Gahlen is a forgotten pipe dream.
