Due to conflicts near and far from home, it has become clear that the current infrastructure built by those that came before us is insufficient to protect the Imperium and her allies. We have allowed once powerful and prosperous cities to age as the need for strong armies waned and the pen replaced the sword. Perhaps we thought the age of warfare behind us and that peace would rule in its stead; foolish we were.
In recent months trade into the cultural capital of the Imperium, Westhold, has seen rapid increase with material arriving from all corners of the Empire. Metal and timber once more flows through its gates bound for the Bladesmiths and Armorers. Deadly Legions that once marched the world are beginning to reform and march from the city for purposes known only to those in control. Soon, Westhold will regain its former glory as a true Imperial City and rejoin the ranks of the great cities of the world at large.
Westhold is but an example of the Imperial Revival, a dawning period of widescale industrialization and restructuring that is apparent to any visitor or lord alike traveling through Imperial lands. Garrisons begin swell and stockpiles fill with goods once more as they did decades ago.
